Duties of Altar Servers include: Preparation of the altar and sacred vessels berfore mass; preparation of the corporal, chalice(s), purificators and sacramentary for the Eucharist; helping the priest to receive the bread and wine carried in procession; assisting with incense; helping to distribute communion as minister of the Eucharist; cleaning the vessels after mass or after communion; bringing communion to the sick and homes of the parishioners, preparing and serving at funerals, weddings, Way of the Cross and baptisms.
